Ulven #106 Bolt Type Chain Shackles
This shackle is similar to the #102 Bolt Type Shackle, except it has a "chain" pattern--loggers more commonly call this a straight-sided safety shackle. This means there is no bell curve to the shackle, and that the sides run parallel. It is made from hand forged alloy steel, right here in Oregon. The strength-to-weight ratio on these shackles is very impressive, and they hold up well in logging applications.
Ulven forest products are designed to be used with and tested with wire rope conforming to the following description: New 6x19 or 6x37 Class, EIPS, IWRC, RRL wire rope made to US specifications.
