Will a 1/2" clevis pin fit between the links?  I'm looking to build a ladder for an obstacle course.
1 Answer
We tested two different brands of 3/8" G100 in stock, and no, a 1/2" bolt would not fit between the links on either piece.

Does chain for overhead lifting need to have it's working load limit marked on the chain?
1 Answer
No, the chain will simply need to have a manufacturer-specific mark that identifies what it is.  See attached for the NACM 8.2 requirements.

I am looking for a chain that cannot be cut. Can this chain be cut?
1 Answer
We recommend actual security chain, such as Pewag 12mm #PW-56847 or Laclede 13mm #LAC-LDC-012--these chains are hardened and designed to be difficult to cut. Please bear in mind that any chain can be cut with the right tools (powered cutting devices, torches, etc.), but both of the previously mentioned chains cannot be cut with regular bolt cutters. The Grade 100 and Grade 120 chains are certainly better than nothing, but they are not as hard as regular security chain and are more easily defeated.

Went looking for the best chain at the best price. Needed to feel like I was getting the best chance of providing security for my expensive generator. Peace of mind was important.
