A cable drop plate is great for ropes courses, offering a simple way to attach a swing rope to a horizontal cable--it creates a vertical to horizontal connection point. The two small holes fit the u-bolt portion of a 5/16" or 3/8" cable clamp.
Due to the way the plate is rigged, most use a cable clamp that is one size smaller than the cable they are connecting to (e.g., a 5/16" clamp for 3/8" cable or a 3/8" clamp for 1/2" cable). The larger, lower hole is used for the connection of a steel carabiner, or quick link, whichever works better for the final connection to your vertical line. Hot dip galvanized for lasting durability.
