Does this item have the WLL forged onto it?  If not what method is used to determine WLL by end user?
1 Answer
Crosby does not forge the Working Load Limit (WLL) into their master links as it is not required be ASME B30.26.  The primary reason is to avoid confusion as they can be used for slings with different design factors as well as multiple legs.  As an example, wire rope slings have a design factor of 5:1 while chain slings have a design factor of 4:1.  With that, the WLL of the master link will vary.  To determine the WLL, you would need to refer to Crosby literature, such as their catalog spec page at this link.
