Certain work conditions may require extra precaution, with regards to lower leg protection. The Elvex ProChaps 91 Series offers 100% wraparound calf protection and solution for these situations. Choose from two popular lengths. Elvex chainsaw chaps meet the requirements of ASTM Standard for Leg Protection for Chain Saw Users (F-1897-2008). This standard requires that the chaps can stop a chain saw running at 2,750 feet/minute tested at both 45º and 90º to the longitudinal axis of the test sample, under controlled laboratory conditions.
How does Prolar work?
Prolar technology combines a unique fiber composition with special, multi-layer weaving process to create one of the most effective chain saw protective pads on the market. Prolar works due to its secret and unique "explosive" action which effectively jams the chain against the bar and the sprocket--quickly and safely stopping the cutting action in milliseconds.
- 1,000-denier Cordura nylon cover fabric, durable in even the harshest environments
- Apron-style design is easy to put on and take off
- Prolar protective padding, developed by and exclusive to Elvex
- Each leg is secured by a total of three sets of buckles…the wraparound section (below the knees) is secured by two sets of buckles
- A zippered front pocket is a standard feature not found in other brands
- Measure from waist to bottom, not the inseam in order to select the correct length
