Vertical rope lifelines are one of the most common fall protection components that we sell. It's because they are easy to use and offer an affordable solution to many fall protection quandaries. Roofers, construction workers and confined space personnel all have occasions in which a vertical rope lifeline is the right tool for the job. The vertical lifelines we sell are made from premium rope that meets or exceeds OSHA requirements. Lengths up to 100 ft feature a cut and taped trailing end while lengths 200 ft and up feature a spliced trailing end. The biggest difference is the type of rope grab you can use with each. With a cut end, you can simply slide a closed rope grab (such as the 8353 Manual Rope Grab & Lanyard Combo) over the end. But with a spliced trailing end, you'll need a rope grab that opens fully for insertion anywhere on the rope, such as the 8358 Self-Tracking Rope Grab & Lanyard Combo. While you're at it, make sure you have a solid Fall Protection Anchor for your lifeline. Should you get a little lost along the way, then we are always here to help!
