Product Description

A New & Better Way to Build Chain Slings
GrabiQ is an exciting new family of alloy chain sling components. Chain slings used to be built with many components, each one doing a separate job. That made chain slings heavy, bulky and expensive. With GrabiQ, a single component can perform up to three separate functions. For example, a Master Grab serves as the master link, connecting link for the load chain and as the shortening hook for adjustment of the chain (available as "MG" for single leg chains or "MGD" for double leg chains). Building the same chain sling using "old style" components would result in using up to seven top rigging components instead of just one.

Fewer Components Means Less Weight
Most of the time, GrabiQ slings will be lighter than traditional chain slings because fewer components are used. And because GrabiQ fittings are made from Grade 100 alloy steel, they have a lifting capacity that is usually 25% higher than Grade 80 chain slings.

Easier Inspections
To properly inspect a chain sling, you must inspect each component. That takes a lot of time, which leads to many users skipping the inspection process altogether. Because GrabiQ slings use fewer components, chain sling inspections are easier to perform, meaning they are more likely to be done on a regular basis (as legally required).

  • A unique all-in-one top fitting, combining a master link, connector and shortening hook for a single leg chain sling
  • Integrated cradle chain pocket for shortening leg…no extra grab hook or shortening clutch needed to adjust length of sling leg
  • Less bulk means less weight and typically a lower cost than a similar conventional chain sling
  • Heat number identification allows full product traceability

Unconventional Use
April 30, 2019
As the title states, I have a non-conventional use for this product. I am using it on my 55hp tractor for pulling brush and small trees on some overgrown pasture. I attach this to a bow shackle running thru the drawbar. Then I use a 1/4" or 5/16" chain with a choker attached to the tree/brush. Using the GrabiQ I don't have to worry about what to do with any excess chain. I back as close as I can to whatever I'm pulling, attach the choker, and then secure it with the GrabiQ. This saves a lot of time and also makes it easy to disengage the chain from the tractor. I can do it now with just a flick of the wrist. It also keeps the chain as short as possible, minimizing any projectile risk should something break free. Great product.
Merchant Response:Awesome review, thanks Stephen!
