What is Grade 70 Chain Used For?
Grade 70 chain is really the standard for tie down / load securement. Available in diameters from 9/32" (1/4") up to 1/2", this chain comes in different sizes and strengths to meet your needs.

Standard Link vs. Short Link
Most Grade 70 chain on the market today is "standard link" chain, meaning less links per foot. While it's cheaper to make, it's not optimal for use in tie down applications. Most of the chain on this page is "short link" chain, meaning more links per foot. This increases the bending ability of the chain and allows users to get a better bite when binding. One exception is 3/8" (one of the most popular sizes) where we offer both standard link and short link options.
