Pewag 1/2" (12mm) Security Chain Kit - 4 ft Chain & Laclede Padlock
Perhaps you've heard of Pewag's now famous "3012" chain. Well, that chain is no longer available. It is a traction chain, and while it makes for a very strong and imposing security chain, it is prone to surface rust. It has no rust-prohibitive finish on it, because whatever surface rust accumulates really makes no difference in its service life as a traction chain. But since so many people adopted 3012 as a security chain, Pewag realized it could be even better with an anti-corrosion finish. Enter Pewag's new and improved 1/2" Security Chain--#56847. Same hardness, same toughness, now with an electro-galvanized finish. You may already be familiar with Pewag's 3/8" Square Case Hardened Security Chain--we literally sell a ton of it. This chain (#56847) is very similar, except it's 2mm larger (12mm or 0.472" to be exact). This makes it beefier and even tougher to cut.
This Is The Chain You've Been Hearing About

What About The Lock?
A true, high-security padlock made to work with square security chain. Its beefy design will certainly be a deterrent to any potential thief. This beefy padlock weighs almost 2.5 lbs. You may not want to put it in your pocket, but you'll be happy to secure your precious equipment with it. The brass lock body is 3mm thick and hardened to 50 HRC. The shackle / pin is 0.43" and is nickel-plated. The lock also ships with three single sided keys designed to activate the 5-tumbler design, and the keyhole is protected with anti-drill steel. This lock works with 3/8", 7/16" and 1/2" security chain.

- Chain Hardness: 62 HRC Min.
- Heavy-duty padlock protects the lock pin from being accessed, forcing a potential thief to deal with the hardened security chain
