Rivet eye bolts are simply unthreaded "blanks" that are designed to be threaded by the end user. They are made from the same forged steel that other Crosby eye bolts are made from, and are Quenched and Tempered. But they DO NOT carry a Working Load Limit, so it is up to the end user to engineer their own lift and make proper calculations. We sell them most commonly to excavation crews for lifting and setting vaults (in the larger sizes only). Most refer to them as manhole pins, even though they aren't specifically designed and rated for this.
