These shackles look a lot like Crosby's popular G-209 Screw Pin Anchor Shackles
, but there is one important difference--these shackles have a round pin that is not threaded, but rather is secured by a cotter key. Additionally, the head of the pin is smooth and round, similar to a carriage bolt. That means these pins cannot be threaded, turned and tightened. While not the most popular, round pin shackles can be used in tie down, towing, suspension or lifting applications where the load is strictly applied in-line. Round pin shackles should NEVER be used in rigging applications to gather multiple sling legs, or where side loading conditions may occur.
Made from forged steel, Quenched and Tempered with alloy load pins. Hot-dip galvanized finish. Each shackle is fatigue rated, meaning it can be subject to continuous use time and again without failure (always obey Working Load Limits). Can be furnished proof-tested with certificates (additional charges apply, inquire at time of order). Look for the Red Pin . . . the mark of genuine Crosby quality!
