#1 Selling Shackle Worldwide, Year After Year!
The G-2130 series of shackles is very similar to the G-209 series with one significant difference. G-2130 shackles feature a bolt as opposed to a pin, earning them the common name of "safety shackles." This means the bolt is secured with a hex nut and cotter key, keeping it securely in place and making it less prone to accidental "backout," a phenomenon specific to screw pin shackles. Other than this key difference, the shackles are pretty much the same. The interior and exterior dimensions, and importantly the Working Load Limits, remain the same. So if your application does not require consistent rigging and unhooking of shackles, then the G-2130 makes a great semi-permanent connection. They are Quenched and Tempered with alloy load bolts, and feature a hot-dip galvanized finish. Each shackle is fatigue rated, meaning it can be subject to continuous use time and again without failure (always obey Working Load Limits).
