This shackle is practically identical to the ever-popular #101 Screw Pin Shackle, except it features a bolt and nut--most refer to this as a "safety shackle". Otherwise, it's virtually the same and it is used in a wide variety of rigging applications. It is made from hand forged alloy steel, right here in Oregon. The strength-to-weight ratio on these shackles is very impressive, and they hold up well in logging applications.
