How is this for hanging a swing? Is it smooth feeling, or scratchy?

1 Answer
That's tough to say as it's a matter of opinion. It's not soft like a cotton rope, but it's also not scratchy and abrasive like a manila fiber rope.

Would this make a good climbing rope for kids?  How does it feel?
1 Answer
It really depends on your application. Assuming this is in a gym environment, then it might work. 3/4" seems a bit on the small side, and this rope has a bit of a plastic feel compared to other ropes. In general we see more use of Manila 3-Strand, or PolyDac. Both ropes are popular in this application, with PolyDac being a little softer. The most common sizes are 1" - 1.5", just depending on the customer's preference.

We needed a 1200 length of this 3-strand to avoid multiple splices. I called, talked to a REAL person, they found one in one of their warehouses and we had it within the week even though we are 3000 miles away. Great rope, great service. Thanks!
