Product Description

This is the highest dielectric-strength rope commercially available. An eight-strand Olefinic plaited-rope construction that is nubby, providing excellent grip. Hy-Dee Brait is spliced easily, and it won’t twist or hockle in use. Yale's exclusive Aralube dielectric treatment helps the rope retain its excellent dielectric characteristics, even when the rope has become wet. Excellent for hand lines, block lines and stringing lines where high dielectric strength is valued.

Dielectric Properties
Hy-Dee Brait complies with ASTM specification F1701-12 that calls for a maximum leakage of 250 micro-amperes at any time during the wet test. Electrodes are 1 foot apart, shielded and the test is conducted at 50KV-AC. This product is 100% lot tested for dielectric conformance.

Caution: Entrained or absorbed moisture will increase any rope’s conductivity dramatically.
