What type of grip is used to pull this cable and are there any special considerations?
1 Answer
The Klein 1684-5 Chicago Grip is probably the most popular grip we sell for EHS, and it accepts up to 9/16" cable. It is designed to work with EHS and is rated up to 8,000 lbs. If you want a heavier-duty version of this grip, you should look at the Kleign 1628-16 Chicago Grip which is accepts up to 5/8" cable, and is rated higher at 15,000 lbs. It really depends on how hard you intend to pull. You may also want to check out the HIT 16-TG46A which facilitates easy, one-handed operation.
