Blocks & Pulleys

Snatch Blocks
The most common block sold for rigging is what most call a snatch block. The exact size and configuration can vary, but they essentially work the same. None is more popular than our 4-1/2" Snatch Block w/ Hook. It is economical, easy to use and easy to maintain with a greasable sheave. For those that prefer a name brand, check out the Crosby 418 4-1/2" Snatch Block w/ Hook. Both models are built for 3/8" - 1/2" wire rope and have a 4 Ton Working Load Limit.

Logging Blocks
We also carry a nice assortment of Logging Blocks from the industry's best manufacturers like Skookum and Young. For a good wide throat option, check out the Skookum R-6 Rigging Block. Many loggers know this as a "Tommy Moore" block. Its durable design holds up well, and it's wide sheave and throat allows rigging to pass through. We also carry other logging blocks, so be sure to check them all out.

Blocks and pulleys are different things in our line of work. Generally, think of pulleys as small, best suited for use with soft rope. We have over 50 pulleys to choose from on our site, in all frame sizes. If you need a small pulley, the CMI RP110 is our most popular micro pulley. It is suited for up to 1/2" rope and has an impressive 7,000 lbs Breaking Strength. If you want something beefier and more suited for rigging, check out the Rock Exotica P55 2.6" Omni-Block Swivel Pulley. This slick unit bridges the gap between small pulleys and large rigging blocks, plus it has an integrated swivel eye and a sideplate that can open while the pulley stays connected to the anchor. A lot of thought went into this pulley design, and it shows.
