HUGE SELECTION OF QUALITY PULLEYS AND RIGGING BLOCKS!
Blocks and pulleys (yes, they’re really two different things) both play very important roles in rigging. In material handling scenarios, blocks can be used to increase a mechanical advantage or simply redirect a piece of line. Whatever the reason you have blocks in your rigging setup, there’s no denying that blocks are important and extremely handy. That’s why we offer several types with different sheave sizes, attachment points and installation methods.
Like blocks, pulleys can also be used to improve mechanical advantage in climbing and rigging systems. One major difference is that on average, pulleys are typically designed to work with soft rope and not wire rope (if you need a pulley for wire rope, check out the RC103 Pulley from CMI). Pulleys are also smaller and lighter than blocks. Of course, they’re designed that way due to their intended use. They are usually made with thinner sideplates (often made of aluminum) and aluminum sheaves as opposed to steel.
