What is the thread diameter/ pitch of the bolt with the knurled head, 3/4-10?

Yes, that is a -10 thread on the end that screws into the other sideplate and the end with the knob screwed on is a -16 thread.

It will accommodate 1/2" rope, yes, but it's designed for 3/4".
