How hard of ground can I drive this anchor into? I have a lot of shale.
1 Answer
This is a difficult question to answer. The manufacturer did say that solid shale might not work altogether, while broken shale can still be difficult, but doable. They are unable to guarantee success or failure on a case by case basis.

If you need to prevent uplift, this might be a good thing for you. We're still looking for a good way to drive them in rocky soil, but they're killer for supporting retaining walls. We connect chain to them and bury the whole thing. I strongly recommend this product. They're well made and priced right.
