Is the breaking strength its Ultimate Tensile Strength or Nominal Breaking Strength?
1 Answer
For any given piece of wire rope, there is a published Breaking Strength, and then an actual Breaking Strength. Usually the two are very close, with the actual Breaking Strength being a bit higher than the published. For all intents and purposes, one should expect failure if this cable sees a load at or near 15,400 lbs.

What type of reel does this cable come on? Can it be spooled onto steel reels?
1 Answer
We may be able to get steel reels, but by default, this cable comes on wooden reels and the standard factory length is 5,000ft. We can run this cable to length as needed. For longer pieces or special quotations, we may have to order factory direct for you.

We are a Bill Board Mfg in GA. Is it possible to get this cable cut and individually packaged in various lengths? Thank you, Jim Leisge
1 Answer
We can cut cable to length as ordered by our customers. Packaging options vary based on the type of product we are cutting to length. For example, this cable is very stiff and would not do well in plastic bags. We could coil, band and package it in boxes, or perhaps burlap bags.
