What is the minimum diameter spool or sheave to make a 180 degree turn?
1 Answer
For a turn that sharp, the general rule is 20x the wire rope diameter, which in this case would mean roughly a 6" sheave. Of course, an engineer may run different calculations, but this is the general rule in the industry.
